Blog update at the 200 postings mark

The last time I added a posting updating how this blog is going was on January 2, 2010 and to mark the beginning of the New Year. It is now March 8, 2010 and this is my 200th posting, not counting replies posted to comments received so I thought this was a good time to add a new update. My day to day visitors count still looks like an outline of a mountain range and my week to week numbers have their ups and downs too, but certainly at the week to week level, there is an upward trend. And each month I have seen a new record high per month visitors count in my dashboard analytics. So slowly but surely more people are finding this blog and coming back to read more.

My subscription count has continued to go up too, which I find very gratifying. I have gotten a few requests for information on how to subscribe so I include here a link for signing up to my RSS feeds for new postings:

Just a short while ago I saw a visit per day count of 60 as high and now I get daily counts as high as the 200 range. I still appreciate the 60 days as they represent readers who find sufficient interest in what I write to take time from their busy lives to click to this blog and read from it.

I add that I write about issues and topics I see as both interesting and important, and I see this blog as a way to pay back for at least some of the value I have received from online social networking and from my ongoing career in information and communications technology and their applications. When others read what I write that tells me that they also see the issues I write of as holding interest and importance.

If you see something that gets you thinking in one of my posts, add a comment and I will reply where you address specific issues and details I can respond back on. I do not care in that regard if you agree with me or disagree. (NB I add that my autocorrect had me writing of Chili when I meant Chile in a fairly recent posting so there are points worth disagreeing with and in my opinion too. Feel free to offer alternative perspectives and opinions.) If you find this interesting or informative, please help me with the viral marketing by sharing the URL to this blog with others.

I first went functionally live with this blog last year on September 14 so my 6 month blogging anniversary is coming up in a few days and I am probably jumping the gun on that but I thought 200 was a good benchmark to add an update on too.

Thank you, all who read this and I will keep posting. I generally had three or so postings ideas in mind for upcoming contributions to the blog when I first started. Now I always seem to have about 20 ideas for upcoming postings.

Tomorrow I am going to post on blogging per se, in more detailed response to a comment posted asking about how to more effectively blog. This is a work in progress for me but I would be happy to share of what I have learned from this experience.
