Platt Perspective on Business and Technology

About this blog

I am interested in just about everything and I enjoy sharing ideas, and getting feedback and developing real conversations. My focus here is going to be fairly wide in scope and will come to involve a wide range of topics and issues involving business, technology, the Internet or some combination, and with both local and global focus.

This will definitely include topics in the general areas of:

• Business and social networking.
• The rapidly evolving interactive online experience and online marketing in this changing context.
• Emerging trends in networked computing and communications and their impact on individuals and on groups and communities. I will explore this from a wide range of perspectives including social and economic, as well as technological.
• Working with startups and early stage businesses – I do that a lot as a consultant.
• Business strategy and operational issues – I work in these areas too.

Let me know what you think of this and leave a comment – start a conversation. I do post replies and I follow up on ideas shared.

If you find these postings of interest, please help me with my viral marketing by spreading the word as to what I am doing here.

Thanks,
Timothy Platt, Ph.D.

Looks like an intersting blog, Tim. Found it through your LinkedIn question from a week ago. Couple suggestions:

    * Edit the description under The Author in your side bar.
    * Add some relevant links under The Associates in your side bar.
    * Add your site to ypblogs.com (currently 225+ bloggers like yourself)

Thank you Alex, and both for reading something of my blog and for reaching out to share insight as to how I can make this better. I have just started the blog and agree that it needs some tuning and not just fine-detail tuning. I see this as a work in progress and as a learning experience, and as something of an opportunity to share from my experience and to get and share feedback from others.
